Tessa’s thoughtful, trustworthy, and outgoing personality allows her clients to feel safe and comfortable in the therapeutic space.

Tessa warmly guides clients to recognize and challenge their thoughts and feelings, while implementing creative mindfulness techniques to calm their mind and body. Tessa encourages her clients of all ages to be their authentic selves and use their voice outside and inside the therapeutic space.

She genuinely cares about helping each of her clients listen to their own bodies to understand their own needs. Tessa has found ways to implement self-care in her own life, such as walking her dog, listening to music and spending time with loved ones. Experience:

The village family services, Los Angeles

Tessa worked as an associate at The Village Family Services. She has tailored her therapeutic approach to fit the needs of her clients and families of many diverse backgrounds. Tessa’s caseload consisted of intensive and outpatient clients, some of whom are in the foster care system. Tessa encouraged clients to utilize their coping skills as well as practice communication with peers to continue to foster a fulfilling life for her clients.

Partnerships to uplift communities, Los Angeles

Tessa completed her traineeship at Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC), a non-profit charter school. Tessa provided individual and family therapy with middle and high-school aged clients and their families. She facilitated group therapy sessions with the students, helping them to face challenges of transitioning to high school. Tessa used many creative approaches (both online and in person) and techniques to provide effective therapy to kids and teens. She would ask clients to draw or journal feelings while implementing great coping strategies that kids can easily grasp.
